You will mentor talent, influence technical excellence, and drive secure, scalable solutions in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive technical experience in software engineering.
• 7+ years of leadership experience managing software development teams using agile methods and AI tools.
• Experience defining software architecture and design standards.
• Proven success leading remote and distributed teams with capacity for technical mentorship.

• Provide hands-on technical leadership for software engineering teams, focusing on architecture and best practices.
• Lead the end-to-end agile software development lifecycle leveraging AI-driven tools.

For our client, we are seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering - Remote to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This leader will guide a distributed engineering organization responsible for architecture, delivery, and technical standards across the software development lifecycle. The role will also shape modern engineering practices, including DevSecOps, CI/CD, and the thoughtful use of AI-enabled tools. This is a high-impact opportunity to influence technical excellence, mentor engineering talent, and strengthen scalable, secure solutions in a mission-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available. Compensation: $191,100 – $344,000 annually.
