Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for finalizing bids and securing projects within the Demolition group. Once projects are awarded, the role provides overall management direction of contract work from start to finish, including scheduling, cost containment, progress monitoring, compliance, and client contact.

Responsibilities

• Finalize client and public entity estimates and proposals.
• Seek and complete bid opportunities through client relationships, network opportunities and public/private postings.
• Prepare and coordinate full estimates on large complex work by reviewing plans and specifications, calculating quantities, gathering quotes and submittals, constructing bids, and preparing bid submittals.
• Provide overall management direction to multiple projects and coordinate pre‑construction meetings to ensure communication among project managers, field, and office staff.
• Coordinate construction methods and staffing needs with operations staff.
• Obtain necessary permits and licensing.
• Track labor and material costs and manage billing, invoicing, accounts receivable collections, and over/under billing.
• Work with staff to meet all EEO/DBE project requirements.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on/under budget, and within the schedule.
• Seek approval for all project change orders before work is completed and manage scope changes to maintain profitability.
• Coordinate communication with owners and general contractors to achieve safe and timely project completion.
• Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential clients.
• Inform leadership on all matters of relative importance.
• Supervise Estimator I, Estimator II, and Project Manager/Estimators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 15+ years of estimating and managing large complex projects in related scope of work.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
• Proficiency in mathematics including fractions, percentages, ratios, conversions.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, reports, and legal documents.
• Experience with bidding and project management software, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Viewpoint Vista, HCSS construction software preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record.
• Occasional travel and overnight stays to jobsites and client meetings.

Physical Demands

• Stand or sit in a stationary position for extended periods (50%+).
• Use a computer/laptop/iPad in an office environment and occasionally attend off‑site meetings.
• May encounter high noise levels; hearing protection provided/required.
• Exposed to variable environmental conditions including weather, dust, noise, and machinery hazards.
