What will you do?
Project execution and management: scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality / meeting project objectives, construction management, contractor management; ensure projects follow the company's capital process management.
Responsible for the safe execution of all capital projects, conducting safety observations and safety audits, and collaborating closely with contractors and project team members to implement a strong behavioral safety program for every project.
Engineering design: developing engineering work packages for projects, managing engineering firms, reviewing deliverables.
Procurement activities: collaborate with Procurement Group in developing procurement strategies, scope of works, preparing RFQs/RFPs, establishing a list of potential bidders, conducting pre-bid meetings, clarifying bidder questions, evaluating bids, writing purchase requisitions, and reviewing/approving invoices.
Site and company initiatives to support safety, environmental, regulatory, production, expansion, and maintenance.
Technical/personal development and coaching others (contractors, trades, training courses, etc.).
Travel as needed to support various project phases (design, fabrication, construction, etc.).
What do you need for this role?
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil preferred.
Previous experience working with EPCM firms and third-party service providers in executing large heavy industrial capital projects.
Engineer Sr
8+ years of related experience (industrial/chemical project execution or engineering project management).
Experience supporting large capital projects from inception through construction, commissioning, and startup.
Experience managing complex, strategic projects with interdisciplinary skills to coordinate diverse stakeholders and solve complex challenges.
Proven ability to develop innovative procedures for solving complex problems and seeking innovative solutions.
Effective communication skills with multiple stakeholders involved in critical projects.
Experience applying economic analysis to projects and understanding organizational impacts.
Knowledge of MS Office, engineering software, SAP/Maximo, Fieldglass; proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
P.E. and/or PMP certifications preferred.
Experience in petrochemical or Class I DIV II processes is preferred.
Understanding of EHS regulatory environment and ability to apply Mosaic's EHS policies throughout project phases.
Familiarity with internal processes, policies, standards, and stakeholder practices from other industries.
