A bit about us:

This position is remote, but the ideal candidate will live in the D.C., Maryland, or Virginia (DMV) market and must be a US Citizen.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. The senior Appian developer will design and develop the core Appian platform project from end to end, working closely with the Business Analyst, Product Owner, Database, and QA engineers to understand the functional and technical requirements of the case management application.

Job Details

This position is remote, but the ideal candidate will live in the D.C., Maryland, or Virginia (DMV) market and must be a US Citizen.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Facilitate sessions with subject matter experts to gather business data requirements.
2. Design and develop Appian applications following the user experience principles found in the Digital Services Playbook and the U.S. Web Design Standards to inform major design decisions.
3. Ensure project release goals are met and work with the team to build scalable solutions that meet future needs.
4. Design and develop systems that set standards for future development, ensuring architecture integrates smoothly with existing infrastructure without compromising security.
5. Identify opportunities for platform-based solutions to address user challenges and resolve systems integration issues promptly.
6. Provide technical leadership to agile development teams, including assigning and reviewing work.
7. Present and explain technical material to Product Owners, FPM, and other enterprise staff.
8. Lead agile teams, assign work, and review the quality of deliverables.
9. Explain and demo technical material to senior client stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of Software Engineering and development experience.
• Minimum 5 years designing architectural frameworks using industry-standard methodologies and resolving systems integration issues.
• Minimum 5 years designing solutions using enterprise business process modeling (BPM) for the Federal Government.
• Minimum 5 years supporting agile development teams.
• Must hold an Appian Senior Developer Certification or higher, with advanced knowledge of Appian concepts and tools, and experience delivering scalable solutions.
