US Prime is seeking an experienced and accomplished Senior Product Manager to accelerate cohort acquisition and retention within the core Prime business in the US. Amazon Prime was launched in the US in 2005 as a subscription service and has since evolved to serve diverse member cohorts with varying needs and preferences. We have successfully grown our membership base across different demographics and life stages and are seeking a seasoned product manager who can drive cohort-level strategy within the core membership program.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing cohort-specific strategies that will enable us to grow the size and engagement of the Prime membership base in the US. You will partner with consumer insights and BI to identify cohorts, understand their unique needs and create and deploy specific plans to acquire and/or engage these customers. You will create a suite of metrics to track and optimize the impact of our targeted offerings on Prime membership growth and engagement for these cohorts. You will work with WW Prime and North American Stores Marketing Technology product teams to develop the products required to deliver personalized experiences to different member cohorts. You will partner with US Prime marketing to develop annual and quarterly product strategies and go-to-market plans for reaching and engaging specific member cohorts. You will work with data scientists to develop our ability to measure the impact of cohort-specific initiatives on member acquisition and retention.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success leading product roadmaps and managing complex product deliverables across a wide variety of functional stakeholders. You will have experience developing product strategies, insights, and mechanisms that align multi-functional partners against cohort-specific objectives. You will have exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence and present to senior leadership, including the ability to distill complex cohort data into clear strategic narratives. You will be a self-starter who has demonstrated the ability and desire to dive deep when necessary to audit and optimize product performance and processes. You will have experience working with and developing win/win product solutions across different business units to serve specific customer cohorts.
Key job responsibilities
- Deep dive data and partner with internal and external consumer insights and research organizations to identify and understand cohorts
- Use insights to inform marketing and product roadmaps for specific cohorts
- Build specific goals for acquisition and retention for cohorts and track performance against these via streamlined reporting and mechanisms
- Actively participate and lead mechanisms such as Walk the Stores to highlight cohort specific needs, CXes and roadmaps to senior leaders
About the team
Amazon Prime is a high-visibility team within Amazon that is building earth's largest and most loved membership program. This role reports to the Sr Manager who leads the Core Prime business and reports to the Director of US Prime. This role partners with North American Stores Marketing, WW Prime, Delivery Experience, WW Promotions and various other key internal teams focused on increasing base of an engagement with Prime members. As a product leader in this highly visible area, you will regularly present to Directors and VPs, helping shape the strategic direction of the Core Prime business.
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience in areas such as market research, statistics, finance or qualitative/quantitative research
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience in using statistical analysis to identify issues or opportunities for improvement
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in delivering end-to-end customer research studies, including study design, fieldwork (qualitative research moderation and survey execution), analysis, recommendations, reporting and presentation of results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
