The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, serving as a prime integrator for high-performance aircraft systems. SNC has a longstanding history of innovation and disruption in aerospace and defense, supporting critical missions such as the U.S. Air Force’s Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC).

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Operations Manager to oversee aircraft maintenance, modification, and logistics activities within our division. The role emphasizes product structure, scheduling, critical path analysis, and process improvement, requiring a focus on compliance, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations (FAA, DoD, DCMA, AFI 21-101, 8210.1C, 8210.1D).
• Develop and maintain product structures and iterative breakdowns for projects.
• Create and manage project schedules, identifying critical paths and milestones.
• Oversee sequencing of manufacturing orders aligned with project timelines.
• Supervise maintenance, modification, and logistics teams.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Maintain safety, quality, and performance metrics.
• Develop training programs for staff.
• Ensure safety protocols and quality systems are enforced.
• Conduct safety drills and inspections.
• Maintain records of activities and prepare reports.
• Coordinate logistics and supplier relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, or related; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in aircraft maintenance, modifications, logistics; 6+ years in management.
• Extensive knowledge of aviation regulations (FAA, DoD, DCMA).
• Leadership experience managing large teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, and software skills.
• Experience with Contractor Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (C-LCSP), FAA Type Certificates, Title 14 CFR parts, FAA A&P certification, and FAA Repair Stations.
• Knowledge of ETOPS programs, MEL, and maintenance records compliance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
