Job summary

SourcePro Search seeks a senior mechanical engineer to lead multi-discipline projects across commercial, institutional, and government clients. You’ll oversee design integration, QA/QC, and construction administration while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires a PE license, Revit/AutoCAD proficiency, and U.S. citizenship for security clearance, with on-site work in Maryland. Expect diverse, complex projects and opportunities for leadership growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-certified program.
  • 4–10+ years of experience in mechanical building systems or plant utility systems.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state (local jurisdiction preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen able to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects for new construction and renovation.
  • Develop and review design approaches, methodologies, and calculations.
  • Prepare and coordinate drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Oversee QA/QC reviews to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to mechanical engineering staff.
  • Coordinate multi-discipline project efforts and ensure design integration across all teams.
  • Support proposals, budgets, and project schedules.
  • Interface with clients to confirm project scope and deliverables.
  • Participate in construction administration activities including site visits, RFI responses, and shop drawing reviews.
  • Maintain compliance with codes, standards, and quality control procedures.
