Position Responsibilities
- Design HVAC systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, and related mechanical systems.
- Assist with the design and coordination of plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing, and system selection.
- Prepare construction documents, specifications, and technical reports.
- Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Participate in site visits, field investigations, and construction administration activities.
- Support project managers in maintaining project schedules and deliverables.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering software tools to develop project designs.
- Review shop drawings and respond to contractor requests for information (RFIs).
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in MEP consulting engineering.
- Experience designing HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, healthcare, educational, or similar facilities.
- Working knowledge of plumbing and/or fire protection systems.
- Experience with Revit and AutoCAD preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- EIT certification preferred; PE license or path toward licensure is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a team-oriented environment.
