Job description

Title: Sr Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Plymouth, MN – 55442

Duration: 11 Months

Description:

The Sr Manufacturing Engineer will support the outsourcing of current ABT production assemblies to external contract manufacturers. The role involves collaborating with both ABT manufacturing and suppliers to execute transfer activities, including planning, equipment moves, supply chain component transfer, process knowledge transfer, validation support, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for designing and developing manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality.

Essential Functions:

• Manage projects involving new production equipment, process improvements, and cost reductions, supporting new product introductions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers and technicians.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Conduct Process FMEAs and Process Validations.
• Improve product quality, labor efficiency, and throughput using Lean manufacturing principles.
• Coordinate the design, procurement, build, and debugging of tooling, machinery, and test equipment.
• Collaborate with Product Development to ensure Design for Manufacturability.

Other Duties:
