A Day in the Life

This role on the Plymouth Nathan Lane Manufacturing Engineering team involves sustaining and enhancing various production processes, including capacity expansion, equipment end-of-life replacement, yield improvement, automation, quality enhancement, and lean transformation initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams inside and outside the plant, including Quality, Regulatory, R&D, Operations, Technicians, and external vendors/consultants. This is an on-site role with limited travel.

The position is based at the Plymouth Nathan Lane facility supporting the Peripheral Vascular Health (PVH) Operating Unit, which consolidates various peripheral vascular businesses to leverage talent, technologies, products, services, and solutions for global customer and patient needs.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Designing manufacturing processes, procedures, and layouts for assemblies, equipment, and material handling.
  2. Arranging machines within the facility for optimal productivity.
  3. Sequencing operations and specifying procedures for fabrication and product performance.
  4. Adapting machine design to factory conditions.
  5. Incorporating inspection and testing into production plans.
  6. Inspecting machinery performance and initiating corrective actions.
  7. Developing processes applicable to statistical process control.
  8. Guiding engineering on design and specifications.
  9. Ensuring compliance with regulations.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 2+ years of experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the medical device or regulated industry.
  • Manufacturing environment experience.
  • Experience with process validations.
