Job description

Sr. Manufacturing Engineer (Finance)

Position Description: Sr. Manufacturing Engineer for Medtronic, Inc located in Brooklyn Center, MN. The role involves completing equipment and process changes within an FDA regulated environment, ISO 13485 & GMP standards. Responsibilities include design, evaluation, installation, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing equipment, systems, or processes, including electrical controls, pneumatics, and PLC. The engineer will handle installation, qualification, and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) of manufacturing equipment and processes such as resistance spot welding, laser welding, anode/cathode fabrication, and electrical testing. Additional tasks involve performing statistical analysis (Gage R&R, ANOVA, Capability & Normality Assessments), characterizing manufacturing processes using Minitab/JMP (DOE, SPC, hypothesis testing, regression modelling, capability studies), and managing manufacturing systems like JDE, FACTORYworks, SPACE, and TEMPO. The role also includes designing manufacturing tooling and fixtures, resolving production quality issues through root cause analysis, product disposition, and CAPA, and optimizing the fabrication process of the Blackwell battery line to meet production, quality, and cost objectives. *Multiple positions available. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: Masters' Degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical, Industrial, or Maintenance Engineering or related engineering field. Requires two (2) years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering for medical devices, including equipment and process changes, FDA regulated environment, ISO 13485 & GMP, automated manufacturing equipment, statistical analysis, and manufacturing systems. Experience must include post-Bachelor's progressive responsibilities as specified.

Alternate Qualifications: Bachelors' Degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical, Industrial, or Maintenance Engineering or related engineering field. Requires four (4) years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering for medical devices, with similar responsibilities as above.

Salary: $107,800 to $146,400 per year
