About the Role

Reporting to the Director, Procurement, the Sr. Manager Procurement – Professional Services (i.e., Travel, Consulting, Legal, Risk) will be responsible for shaping the vision, strategy, and execution of the assigned categories. This role will support Gap Inc.'s NextGen Procurement Transformation, advancing cross-functional engagement and shaping the future of Procurement.

The Sr. Manager will engage with and establish partnerships across Gap and with suppliers to collaborate, influence, and be a creative thought partner that consistently delivers value. The role involves leading and inspiring a team of 2-4 category managers, focusing on developing, implementing, and executing sourcing strategies and processes across Procurement to enable a competitive advantage and maximize ROI for Gap Inc.

What You'll Do
  • Value Capture - Develop and execute procurement strategies for Professional Services categories. Achieve procurement savings targets (P&L, Capital, and Non-P&L). Maintain a multi-year pipeline of projects that deliver ongoing value. Seek industry best practices and innovative solutions to enhance procurement value.
  • Sourcing Rigor - Promote a competitive bid culture for Professional Services projects by applying advanced levers and fostering a shift in team operations.
  • Category Management - Develop deep category strategies that translate into actionable multi-year sourcing plans. Build and develop high-performing category management teams.
  • Procurement Technology and Advanced Sourcing Capabilities - Utilize procurement technologies (e.g., spend analytics, sourcing tools, eAuction, CLM) to improve efficiency. Maintain detailed spend analytics, category segmentation, and supplier profiling to identify opportunities.
  • Build and Strengthen Strategic Relationships - Partner across functions (Travel, Consulting, Legal, Risk) and with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive results and manage complex change initiatives.
  • Leverage Influencing Skills - Balance speed, priorities, and urgency. Proactively consider alternatives and drive critical thinking to optimize outcomes.
Who You Are
  • Experience - 6-8 years in Procurement within a global company, focusing on category management and execution. Demonstrate strategic thinking and expertise in category management.
  • Sourcing Capability - Significant experience in developing long-term results through category strategies, market knowledge, collaboration, and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Drive for Results - Proven ability to lead in ambiguous environments, achieve high performance, and deliver sustainable results.
  • Communication Skills - Excellent at executive-level communication and presentation.
  • Change Leadership - Experience leading with and without authority, influencing others, and driving decision-making. Curious and innovative mindset with questions like "What If?" and "Why not?"
  • Category Management Expertise - Deep understanding of category management processes and industry best practices.
