Role Summary

As a Sr Program Manager, Procurement specializing in Strategy and Risk Management, you will support our purchasing teams in our current and future supply chain strategy. Your role will be focused on developing the standards, tools and processes to help define our approach to sourcing. You will also be responsible for large scale implementations, including events, system rollouts, and analytics developments. You will interact with a wide range of stakeholders including Procurement, Risk, Engineering, Planning, Strategy and Finance. This position is based onsite in Palo Alto, CA or Irvine, CA.


Responsibilities

  • Launch an advanced toolset of supply chain risk applications, aimed at de-risking supply chain, supporting tariff mitigations, and exposing potential savings opportunities.
  • Lead the validation of tier mapping analytics, leveraging AI data to prioritize and confirm supplier sources
  • Support teams in the preparation of Category Strategies, advising on standard toolsets and applications to drive more advanced studies
  • Define and execute the enhancement roadmap for analytics tools designed to help improve sourcing decision making
  • Lead the defining of part and supplier data characterization, helping to improve how we understand our current supply chain

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required preferably Business, Supply Chain or Engineering related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or related fields required
  • Strong background in analytics and management of system improvements preferred.
  • Experience working in automotive industry and or relevant manufacturing environments preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Excellent problem solving and solutioning skills, including bringing diverse stakeholders together to drive for cross functional alignment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment is a bonus.

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Irvine, CA-Area Based Applicants: $98,500 - $123,100 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Bay-Area, CA-Based Applicants: $107,000 - $133,800 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
