We are a dynamic, fast-paced team supporting Disney Experiences! We are hiring a Sr. Manager, Labor Relations to support our team in Lake Buena Vista, FL. The Sr. Manager, Labor Relations leads a team of LR professionals in the administration and interpretation of site-specific collective bargaining agreements, handling consultations, grievances, and labor-management issues. This role also involves project management of union contract negotiations, effects bargaining, and arbitrations.

What You Will Do
  1. Serve as a role model for diversity and inclusion, providing leadership to 15 (WDW) / 10 (DLR) labor relations team members.
  2. Execute core labor relations services and provide counsel on consultations, grievances, negotiations, arbitrations, and effects bargaining.
  3. Facilitate communication and relationships with union representatives to resolve issues at appropriate levels.
  4. Support site-specific negotiations as first chair for contract negotiations and effects bargaining, influencing overall bargaining strategy.
  5. Manage team members, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, training, setting priorities, and performance assessments.
  6. Oversee investigations and responses to governmental agencies, utilizing strong communication, fact-finding, and analytical skills.
  7. Prepare reports on grievances, arbitration cases, and labor activities to identify trends and issues.
  8. Lead arbitration strategies, including preparation and external counsel engagement.
  9. Assist with administration of Taft-Hartley employee benefit plans.
  10. Conduct periodic labor relations training for company decision makers.
  11. Ensure timely and accurate record-keeping via case management systems.
  12. Perform other related duties as needed.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in Labor Relations, Human Resources, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of labor and employment laws (NLRA, Title VII, EEO, ADA, FMLA).
  • Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences and professional representation.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • JD or equivalent legal training and accreditation.
  • Bilingual abilities.
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Labor Relations, Labor Law, or related field preferred.
