Senior Human Resources Manager

The Senior Human Resources (HR) Manager is a visionary leader who champions a positive organizational culture, fosters staff development and drives excellence in HR. They provide strategic HR leadership and manage all human resources activities at our Curtis Bay manufacturing site. Curtis Bay team members take pride in the work we do and embody values of safety, ownership and teamwork every day; they are the true driving force in our operations.
They oversee talent acquisition, employee development, succession planning and other critical HR processes. The Senior Manager is also the primary lead for labor and employee relations, managing all union-related activities and fostering a positive work environment across the site.
The Senior HR Manager is on-site in Curtis Bay, Baltimore and reports to the Director HR, Americas Manufacturing North.
Union Relations: Prepare for and lead union contract negotiations to secure agreements that meet business objectives while ensuring manufacturing continuity.Safety Leadership: Participate in and support site safety programs and initiatives to ensure a safe work environment where “No One Hurt” becomes a reality.
Culture and Engagement: Promote initiatives that drive a positive organizational culture, high employee engagement, and a collaborative workforce climate.
Safety Leadership: Participate in and support site safety programs and initiatives to ensure a safe work environment where “No One Hurt” becomes a reality.
Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with site and operations leaders to develop and implement organizational strategies aligned with Grace’s business goals and growth objectives.
HR Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and counsel on matters related to talent management, organizational change, labor and employee relations, engagement, and communications.
Global HR Alignment: Ensure HR strategies align with global and regional objectives and effectively implement these strategies at the site level.
HR Service Delivery: Work within Grace’s HR service delivery model, coordinating with Centers of Excellence to ensure seamless execution of payroll, benefits administration, and talent management practices.
Grievance Resolution: Manage and resolve grievances at the lowest possible level while preparing for arbitrations and responses to disputes with unions and government agencies.
Data-Driven Insights: Utilize HR and business systems to analyze workforce trends and administer HR programs effectively.
Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business, or related field.
10 +years HR experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
5+ years as an HR Manager within a manufacturing environment.
5+yearsexperience working in union environment with labor relations, contract administration and negotiations.
Demonstrated experience with driving employee engagement and positive employee relations with all levels of a manufacturing operation.
Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with all levels in the manufacturing plant, plus corporate business teams and HR Centers of Excellence.
Demonstrated ability to develop and lead changes that positively impact operational challenges and opportunities.
