Qualifications

Position Overview

We are seeking a results-oriented Sr. HR Consultant - Employee Relations with a strong Generalist background to join our People & Culture Operations Team. This individual will support our various businesses, focusing on complex employee relations issues and conduct investigations.

This role is based at our Lisle, Illinois headquarters.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct employee investigations and manage employee relations, along with a variety of generalist duties.
  • Document and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Maintain accurate records of all ER cases.
  • Communicate effectively with managers and employees regarding pending cases.
  • Interpret and ensure consistency of HR policies and practices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, compliance, HR Business Partners, COEs, etc., to plan and implement initiatives.
  • Work closely with site leaders to ensure policies and procedures are understood, communicated, and consistently applied.
  • Lead change initiatives.
  • Manage projects related to key cross-functional programs and priorities.
  • Analyze data to inform business decisions.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of HR experience, with 1 year of leadership experience.
  • OR Master’s degree with at least 6 years of HR experience, including 1 year of leadership.
  • OR 10 years of HR experience with at least 1 year of leadership.
Additional Requirements
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (US Citizen, Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee).
Desired Skills
  • Experience handling employee relations investigations independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Relationship-building skills and discretion.
  • Judgment and risk assessment abilities.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Approachable, respectful, and team-oriented attitude.
