Position Summary

This role is ideal for an HR professional seeking to provide comprehensive HR leadership in a fast-growing organization at our Hanover, MD location and other sites nationwide. We seek an experienced, strategic leader eager to collaborate with business leaders on talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement.


Duties And Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted business partner for the Vice President, senior leadership, and all organizational levels.
  • Partner with leaders to understand objectives and develop solutions to maximize team capabilities.
  • Coach leaders on communication, expectations, resource allocation, feedback, recognition, and accountability.
  • Guide managers and employees on engagement, performance, career development, talent assessment, and retention.
  • Advocate for employees; identify opportunities to improve their experience.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints or policy violations.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence on various HR programs.
  • Develop strategies for positive employee relations and effective communication.
  • Lead succession planning, talent reviews, and compensation processes.
  • Support transformational change initiatives and communication strategies.
  • Determine staffing needs and coordinate with Talent Acquisition for recruitment.
  • Maintain visibility within the workforce to build trust and gather feedback.
  • Travel to various sites to engage with employees and assess needs.
  • Mentor and support other HR team members.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Industrial/Labor Relations, Psychology, or related field.
  • At least 12 years of progressive HR experience as a Business Partner or Generalist.
  • Minimum 5 years supporting HR in production, manufacturing, or field environments.
  • Proven ability to translate business goals into HR strategies and measure success.
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws.
  • Understanding of HR principles, practices, and standards.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or HR discipline.
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Over 10 years’ HR experience in large organizations (10,000+ employees).
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Deep knowledge of employment and labor laws.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.


Additional Information

This position is Hybrid – Remote with required travel to designated offices. Work schedule is flexible based on business needs.
