EyeSouth is looking for a Senior Regional HR Business Partner to support our region around Chicago, Illinois.

Headquartered in Atlanta, GA, EyeSouth Partners is an eye care physician services organization committed to partnering with leading physicians to build a premier network of eye care services. EyeSouth’s partner practices’ clinical mission is to provide high quality medical and surgical specialty eye care. EyeSouth supports its affiliated practices and physician partners with capital, administrative resources, operating expertise, and strategic guidance with an absolute focus on clinical quality and a patient-first culture.

EyeSouth’s affiliate network consists of over 40 practices with 300+ doctors providing medical and surgical eye care services at over 175 clinic locations and 20+ ambulatory surgery centers throughout Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee, Ohio, Kentucky, Alabama, Illinois, Pennsylvania, New York, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will be the go-to strategic advisor for key members of leadership in the region you support. You’ll need to be business-focused, leveraging your deep HR knowledge and experience to shape and execute HR strategies that align with organization goals. You’ll own key HR initiatives, work closely with leadership to drive results, and ensure that our HR strategies support our rapid growth. The ideal candidate will be both strategic and influential, with the proven ability to deliver value-added services that support the business objectives of our affiliate practices, market, and region.

This is a full-time remote role and can be based in the Chicago Illinois area, Cincinnati Ohio area, or within the regional area.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Partnering: Collaborate with senior leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives, providing insights and solutions that drive results and employee growth.
  2. Leadership Coaching & Empowerment: Offer candid, experienced advice to leaders, helping them navigate challenges, build high-performing teams, and foster a culture of accountability and growth. Empower managers and leaders with coaching and support, enabling them to lead their teams with confidence and effectiveness.
  3. Change Management: Support large-scale change initiatives, ensuring that our people and processes evolve to meet the needs of our rapidly scaling organization.
  4. Data-Driven Decisions: Use HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making, identify trends, and develop proactive strategies to address potential challenges.
  5. Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor in managing employee relations issues, ensuring that solutions are fair, consistent, and aligned with our operating principles.
  6. Performance Management: Drive a culture of high performance by implementing effective performance management processes and ensuring leaders have the tools and support they need to build and lead highly performing teams.
  7. Organizational Planning: Forecast workforce needs and develop plans to meet those needs, focusing on talent acquisition, retention, and development.
  8. Integrated HR Solutions: Proactively partner with key functions (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Onboarding, Training & Development, etc.) to deliver cohesive and integrated solutions across the organization.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business or Human Resources (or equivalent experience), 3+ years of HR leadership experience, multi-state/site HR experience, HR certification from SHRM or HRCI (or ability to sit for the exam within 6 months), and ability to travel overnight as required. Medical/Ophthalmology experience is preferred but not required. Strong understanding of HR generalist duties, intermediate computer skills, excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment, self-motivation, organizational skills, and proven leadership ability are essential.
