Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. in Flint, MI, is seeking a Warehouse Operations Leader to guide warehouse, admin functions, and customer service.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, automotive, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience managing supervisors, salaried employees, and hourly workforces.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, labor planning, and customer relations.
  • Experience in automotive or manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Providing overall leadership and direction for warehouse operations, administrative functions, and customer service activities
  • Managing supervisors, office staff, and hourly employees while promoting a positive and accountable work environment
  • Ensuring operational performance meets or exceeds customer expectations and contractual requirements
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), labor utilization, productivity, quality, and inventory accuracy
  • Developing staffing plans and supporting recruiting, onboarding, training, and employee development initiatives
  • Managing employee relations, performance management, coaching, and corrective action processes
  • Maintaining compliance with company policies, customer requirements, safety regulations, and environmental standards
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction
  • Preparing and reviewing operational reports, financial performance metrics, labor reports, and productivity data
  • Partnering closely with customer representatives to address concerns, identify opportunities, and strengthen business relationships
  • Managing facility budgets, labor costs, and operational expenses
  • Coordinating inbound and outbound material flow to support production requirements
  • Supporting startup activities, new business implementation, and operational growth initiatives as needed
  • Ensuring facility readiness, housekeeping standards, and equipment utilization meet company expectations
