Job Overview

GenScript seeks a detail-oriented, self-driven individual for the Engineering Equipment Department, to contribute to planning, design, construction, commissioning, validation, and process system development at our Piscataway, NJ facilities. The position is initially for at least 2 years, with potential to transition to a facility manager post-project completion.

Responsibilities

1. Project Planning and Execution: Develop project plans, manage cost estimation, procurement, and contract management.
2. Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure project compliance with US regulations, manage permits.
3. Project Management: Oversee technical, quality, safety, and timeline aspects; coordinate with contractors.
4. Commissioning and Validation: Organize factory acceptance tests, commissioning, and validation activities.
5. Project Completion: Lead final inspections, documentation review, and project handover.
6. Reporting and Improvement: Report progress, analyze lessons learned, and suggest improvements.

Qualifications and Requirements

1. Education and Experience: Bachelor's or higher in Mechanical/Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical Engineering or related; 10+ years in biopharmaceuticals with project management experience.
2. Skills: Strong management, technical expertise, problem-solving, root cause analysis.
3. Additional Considerations: Proficiency in project management software, familiarity with construction estimating, knowledge of US building codes and industry standards.
