An established industry player is seeking a Facilities Project Engineer for a long-term project in Rock Springs. This role involves overseeing the EPC process for steam system design, including natural gas fired steam boilers and turbine generators. Industrial Systems Consulting (ISC) has a large project involving the design, procurement and construction of new industrial facilities in the Rock Springs / Green River Wyoming region requiring a Facilities Project Engineer for a long term (2+ year) project.
The project is today approaching a detailed design phase, which entails work with a large engineering firm, plus a local team involving process engineers, electrical engineers, an instrument specialist, an electrical and instrument designer, plus the management team.
The Facilities Project Engineer will be responsible for the EPC process relating to the steam system design that entails multiple 200 k#/hr. natural gas fired steam boilers, 25MW steam turbine electric generators, high-pressure steam system piping, and process equipment (up to 1250psig), a natural gas reducing station, and a future cogeneration system.
ISC requires a Facilities Project Engineer who has strong skills and experience with boiler engineering and operation. This should include detailed design skills for the initial phases of the project, experience with construction oversight and project management. Candidates should also have some experience and skills with the start-up and commissioning of such systems.
This could lead to an opportunity to convert to full-time and participate in the maintenance and operation of the facility if the candidate is interested, and it should be noted that another option is perhaps to go full-time from day one. There is also a prospect to do this project remotely, but this would entail more the early stages of the design phases. The key is the skills you bring to the table.
Benefits: Benefits for these long-term contracts include medical, dental, vision and a 401K. A per diem and travel are included for contracts, and relocation if this evolves into a full-time position.
