Job summary

Veregy seeks a Senior Energy Engineer to lead energy-modeling efforts and M&V planning for decarbonization projects. You will oversee savings calculations, IPMVP-compliant plans, and annual savings reporting, collaborating with development, operations, and finance teams.

The role requires strong knowledge of HVAC, lighting, and building-energy systems, proficiency in energy-management tools, and project leadership with up to 20% travel in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or architectural engineering, or closely related field; or seven+ years related experience.
• Five to ten years of relevant energy-engineering experience, preferably supporting ESCO or performance-contracting projects.
• Experience with energy-modeling software (eQuest, TRACE 3D Plus, HAP) and energy-management platforms (EnergyCAP, ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager).
• Familiarity with Python, R, Power BI or similar tools is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee energy-engineering function and develop/review energy-savings models.
• Collaborate with Operations to evaluate effects of ECMs on buildings and systems.
• Create energy models to support accurate and sustainable savings.
• Develop IPMVP-compliant M&V plans and annual savings reporting.
