Job summary
Amazon Leo is seeking a Sr Embedded SDE to lead platform-specific projects on Satellite and Ground Systems. You will design embedded software for Amazon Leo products, collaborating with teams inside and outside Amazon, and mentor engineers from requirements through mass production.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years in embedded Linux/RTOS, kernel or driver experience, and hands-on work with ARM, PCIe, SPI, I2C, and manufacturing diagnostics across EVT/HVT/DVT/PVT stages.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
- Experience with Linux operating system, embedded systems, consumer devices, or mobile apps.
Responsibilities
- Lead design of embedded software used in Amazon Leo products.
- Mentor a team of software engineers on best practices and guide designs from requirements to mass production.
- Be flexible and responsive to high priority issues.
