Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Sr Embedded SDE to lead platform-level projects across Satellite and Ground Systems in Sunnyvale, CA. You will design embedded software, mentor engineers, and guide software from requirements to mass production in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in embedded Linux/kernel programming, experience with PCIe/interfaces, Yocto, and RTOS, and a track record of delivering reliable devices through EVT/DVT/PVT stages.

Qualifications

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
Experience with Linux operating system, embedded systems, consumer devices, or mobile apps.

Responsibilities

Lead platform specific projects and initiatives on Satellite as well as Ground Systems.
Mentor a team of software engineers and guide designs from requirements through mass production.
Design embedded software used in Amazon Leo products.
