Job summary

Gridworks in Albuquerque or remotely is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical design for utility-scale PV and BESS projects from preliminary design through IFC, and to serve as Engineer of Record when needed.

You will collaborate with CAD technicians, project managers, and utilities, performing system modeling in ETAP/WinIGS/CYMCAP, reviewing vendor submittals, and supporting construction and commissioning while driving design standards and continuous improvement across

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering and PE license (NM preferred).
• 5+ years of electrical design experience on utility-scale PV/BESS projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE 80/2800, and IEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for utility-scale PV and BESS from preliminary design through IFC.
• Seal drawings and calculations as Engineer of Record; perform QA/QC on design packages.
• Build and review system models and perform load flow, short circuit, and protection studies.
• Coordinate with CAD technicians, project managers, utilities, and vendors; respond to RFIs.
• Develop BOMs and support construction/commissioning; ensure regulatory compliance.
