Job summary

Central Transport LLC seeks an experienced supervisor to lead outbound operations at a 170-door freight facility in Dallas. You will oversee loading, forklift traffic, and palletized freight sorting while directing up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to meet schedules.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, a passion for service excellence, and a high aptitude for technology. An associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, cross docking, or shipping/receiving environments (preferably LTL).
• Familiar with customs and cross-border transportation.
• Strong leadership qualities.
• Desire to surround customer with excellence in service.
• High aptitude for technology.
• Ability to multi-task while being detail oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outbound operations within a large dock facility for your section, including loading and forklift traffic.
• Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to meet production schedules.
• Use independent judgment to build loads based on labor and freight levels.
• Monitor cube and weight to ensure proper loads on carriers.
• Provide leadership and accountability to drivers and dock staff.
• Track dock production and meet or exceed KPI goals.
• Monitor hours and overtime and ensure safety and compliance.
• Support a culture of excellence in service to internal and external customers.

Shift: 1:00pm - 11:00pm, Mon - Fri (Outbound Shift)

Salary: Up to $75,000 + quarterly bonus (10%)

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee outbound operations within a 170-door freight facility for your designated section of the dock. This includes the process of loading, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
• Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to achieve a designated production schedule.
• Utilizing your independent judgement to build loads based on available labor and freight levels.
• Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring the cube and weight of trailers
• Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers, dock workers and dock hand.
• Monitor dock production, ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met and/or exceeded.
• Monitor hours and overtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure company operational model compliance.
• Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers
