Job summary

Central Transport is seeking a full-time outbound operations supervisor in Dallas, TX. The role oversees outbound operations at a 170-door freight facility, coordinating loading, forklift traffic, and palletized freight handling under a structured production schedule.

You will supervise up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel, using independent judgment to optimize loads based on labor and freight levels while ensuring safety and compliance with DOT/OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving environment (preferably within the LTL industry).
• Familiar with customs and cross-border transportation.
• Strong leadership qualities.
• Desire to surround customer with excellence in service.
• High aptitude for technology.
• The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• An Associates or Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outbound operations within a 170-door freight facility for your designated section of the dock.
• This includes the process of loading, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
• Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to achieve a designated production schedule.
• Utilizing your independent judgement to build loads based on available labor and freight levels.
• Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring the cube and weight of trailers
• Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers, dock workers and dock hand.
• Monitor dock production, ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met and/or exceeded.
• Monitor hours and overtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure company operational model compliance.
• Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers

Shift: 1:00pm - 11:00pm, Mon - Fri (Outbound Shift)

Salary: Up to $75,000 + quarterly bonus (10%)
