Job summary

Central Transport LLC is seeking an experienced Hub Operations Supervisor to oversee inbound/hub operations at a 215-door freight facility in Fort Worth, TX. You will manage loading, forklift traffic, and palletized freight to support a tight production schedule and DOT/OSHA safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring leadership, strong communication, and a high aptitude for technology. The role includes supervising up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel, with a 2:00am–12:00pm Tue–Sat shift

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, cross docking, or shipping environment.
• Familiar with customs and cross-border transportation.
• Strong leadership qualities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound/hub operations within a 215-door freight facility for your designated section of the dock.
• Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to achieve a designated production schedule.
• Utilize independent judgement to build loads based on available labor and freight levels.
• Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring the cube and weight of trailers.
• Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers, dock workers and dock hand.
• Monitor dock production, ensuring KPI goals are met and/or exceeded.
• Monitor hours and overtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure company operational model compliance.
• Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers

Shift & Compensation

Shift: 2:00am - 12:00pm, Tuesday - Saturday (Inbound/Hub)

Salary: Up to $75,000 + bonus (10%)

Ideal Candidate Requirements

• Experience in a transportation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving environment (preferably within the LTL industry)
• Familiar with customs and cross-border transportation
• Strong leadership qualities
• Desire to surround customer with excellence in service
• High aptitude for technology
• The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An Associates or Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required

Duties

• Oversee inbound/hub operations within a 215-door freight facility for your designated section of the dock. This includes the process of loading, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
• Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to achieve a designated production schedule.
• Utilizing your independent judgement to build loads based on available labor and freight levels.
• Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring the cube and weight of trailers
• Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers, dock workers and dock hand.
• Monitor dock production, ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met and/or exceeded.
• Monitor hours and overtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure company operational model compliance.
• Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers
