Ladders is seeking a Senior Director, HR Business Partner in Chicago to act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, shaping people strategies that boost performance and culture.

You will drive HR programs across performance management, leadership development, and change management in a fast-moving tech environment, partnering with Legal and Center of Excellence to ensure compliant, business-aligned practices.

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Director, HR Business Partner to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will serve as a senior strategic advisor to leadership, helping shape people strategies that strengthen performance, culture, and organizational effectiveness. You will lead key HR programs that support performance management, employee development, and change management in a fast-moving technology environment. The position also partners closely with Legal and HR Centers of Excellence to ensure compliant, practical, and business-aligned people practices.

Location: Chicago, IL - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $200,000 - $246,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Exceptional judgment and communication skills for navigating complex conversations
• Excellent project and time management skills with adaptability to changing needs
• High professional standards and a strong customer experience mentality
• Experience with AI-native tools to enhance HR workflows
