Customer Service Representative - Inside Sales

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for customer service and support activities, ensuring customer satisfaction through daily, weekly, and monthly interactions. The role requires meeting tight deadlines and managing multiple customer service tasks.

What You'll Do
General Customer Service Functions
  • Communicate with customers regarding support matters such as part/PO statuses, due dates, reports, expedites, change or rush orders, and special instructions.
  • Enter sales orders and provide acknowledgments, supporting the CS Data Entry Specialist as needed.
  • Coordinate shipping activities to ensure timely deliveries and adhere to customer instructions.
  • Greet and divert incoming phone calls.
Inventory Management
  • Maintain current information in the ERP system to generate reports on sales, shipping, and forecasts.
  • Evaluate customer forecasts and purchase orders, analyzing reports to ensure stock levels meet demand.
  • Communicate inventory needs to management.
  • Coordinate activities related to parts and purchase orders with relevant departments.
  • Manage expedites and rush requests through purchasing and production.
Customer Communication
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and keep them informed.
  • Coordinate customer requests, rush orders, and shipping activities to ensure efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
  • High school diploma.
  • 1-3 years of experience in customer service/support.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, especially verbal and listening skills.
  • Good typing, spelling, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and coordinate across departments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to move around the facility and sit for prolonged periods working at a computer.
