As a Senior Contingent Workforce Staffing Consultant, you will oversee contingent workforce operations, helping clients secure qualified temporary and contract talent while optimizing service delivery, cost efficiency, and recruitment outcomes. You will lead and develop a small remote team, provide strategic guidance to hiring managers, and coordinate closely with suppliers, account managers, and other stakeholders. Combining workforce management expertise with strong client consultation skills, you will ensure staffing requirements are met efficiently and in line with program objectives. You will also monitor performance metrics, resolve operational challenges, and drive continuous improvements across recruitment processes and supplier relationships. This role offers the opportunity to influence workforce strategies, strengthen client partnerships, and contribute to the success of a managed service provider (MSP) program. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and comfortable balancing team leadership, technology management, and client-facing responsibilities in a dynamic, service-oriented environment.

Accountabilities
  • Team leadership and development: Manage and support a small remote team of two contingent workforce staffing consultants, overseeing training, skills development, workload allocation, process compliance, and vacation coverage while preparing for potential progression into broader account management responsibilities.
  • Hiring manager consultation: Conduct consultation calls to understand workforce requirements, evaluate role specifications, and recommend effective sourcing strategies to attract and secure the most suitable talent.
  • Requisition management: Use procurement and vendor management technologies to process requisitions, navigate client approval workflows, monitor daily progress, and ensure timely follow-up throughout the staffing lifecycle.
  • Candidate assessment and selection: Review resumes, evaluate candidate qualifications against hiring criteria, apply appropriate assessment techniques, and develop shortlists that meet client expectations.
  • Interview coordination: Schedule interviews, facilitate communication between hiring managers and suppliers, and help maintain an efficient and responsive recruitment process.
  • Workforce cost management: Negotiate bill rates using market benchmarks and competitive bidding data to maintain competitive pricing and support client cost-containment objectives.
  • Financial and invoice support: Oversee and support timecard and expense management, invoicing, invoice corrections, and dispute resolution, ensuring accurate financial processing and timely issue resolution.
  • Client and supplier relationship management: Build and maintain strong working relationships through regular communication, professional consultation, consistent follow-up, and proactive issue management.
  • Program performance and continuous improvement: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service-level agreements (SLAs), investigate root causes of performance gaps, maintain reporting accuracy, and develop and implement service improvement plans.
  • Supplier management: Support supplier onboarding, coordinate supplier scorecards, monitor supplier performance, and collaborate with partners to improve talent delivery and service quality.
  • Strategic client support: Partner with account managers to understand client priorities, lead delivery improvement initiatives, present recommendations, and oversee the implementation of agreed-upon action plans.
  • Technology and process optimization: Develop a thorough understanding of vendor management system capabilities, support technology updates, communicate new functionality to clients and suppliers, and troubleshoot routine system issues.
  • Data analysis and workforce planning: Use client and market data to establish realistic recruiting timelines, educate stakeholders, identify trends, and recommend changes that improve recruitment effectiveness and program outcomes.
  • Operational excellence: Manage competing priorities with urgency and attention to detail while adhering to established processes, documentation standards, technology requirements, and client-specific procedures.
  • Supplier program collaboration: Contribute workforce expertise and operational insights to supplier meetings and program reviews, helping strengthen collaboration and improve overall service delivery.
Requirements
  • Professional experience: At least five years of relevant experience in recruitment, contingent labor, staffing operations, managed service provider programs, or a related customer service environment.
  • Recruitment and workforce management expertise: A background in recruitment or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of temporary and contract staffing, talent sourcing, candidate evaluation, and workforce delivery processes.
  • MSP program experience: Demonstrated experience supporting managed service provider operations, including client consultation, service delivery management, supplier coordination, and adherence to program requirements.
  • Vendor management system proficiency: Strong experience with procurement technology and vendor management systems, particularly SAP Fieldglass. Candidates should understand administrative configuration, distribution lists, job posting templates, job catalogs, activity items, and related system functionality.
  • KPI and SLA management: Proven ability to monitor program performance, analyze data, conduct root cause analysis, maintain accurate reporting, and develop continuous improvement plans.
  • Client consultation and relationship management: Experience building strategic client relationships, understanding business requirements, managing expectations, and delivering solutions that strengthen customer satisfaction and engagement.
  • Supplier performance management: Familiarity with supplier onboarding, scorecards, performance monitoring, service improvement initiatives, and the resolution of day-to-day operational challenges.
  • Financial and invoice resolution expertise: Experience managing invoices within an MSP environment, including understanding invoice rejection reasons, investigating discrepancies, coordinating corrections, and resolving billing issues.
  • Data analysis and commercial awareness: The ability to interpret workforce and market data, benchmark bill rates, evaluate recruiting timelines, identify trends, and use evidence-based insights to guide client and supplier decisions.
  • Leadership capabilities: Experience coaching or developing team members, allocating workloads, supporting performance improvement, and maintaining consistent operational standards across a distributed team.
  • Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to lead individual consultations and group discussions, communicate with internal and external stakeholders, and present recommendations clearly.
  • Organization and problem-solving: Strong attention to detail, effective multitasking, sound judgment, and the ability to independently prioritize competing demands while maintaining a sense of urgency.
  • Technology skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet-based tools, procurement platforms, and related workforce management technologies, with the ability to learn new systems and troubleshoot routine issues.
