Job summary

Kitchell seeks an experienced Program Manager for the Bay Area, based in either San Francisco or San Jose, with a focus on Peninsula projects. You will lead large, complex programs, manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships, and contribute to business development.

You will oversee PM teams, ensure adherence to PM processes, and mentor staff across multiple delivery methods in a demanding construction environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years construction management experience with 5+ years managing 5+ employees.
• Experience on California DSA projects is required.
• Strong network with public agencies and education markets is highly desired.
• Knowledge of architecture, engineering and construction industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and direct PM teams through all project phases.
• Ensure operations align with PM procedures and policies.
• Plan and direct achievement of revenue, profit objectives and manage overhead.
• Maintain client satisfaction and secure repeat business.
• Lead owner contract negotiations and ensure contractual compliance.
• Develop strategies and contribute to business development for assigned projects.
• Build industry relationships to generate new opportunities.
• Mentor and develop project staff; oversee performance management.
