Job summary

Kitchell seeks an experienced Sr. Project Engineer to join the Bay Area region in Mountain View and contribute to PM/CM services as an Owner’s Representative for essential services projects.

The role requires 3–6 years of construction experience, a Bachelor’s degree (preferred), and strong coordination with owners, architects, engineers, and contractors. On-site work is required with travel to regional sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering/Architecture preferred.
• 3–6 years of related construction experience required (public sector strongly preferred).
• Experience on Civic/Municipal/Justice/Education projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with city departments to provide PM/CM services.
• Develops full understanding of the scope and interdependence of contract documents.
• Observes and records jobsite activity per contractual frequency.
• Manages document control to ensure compliance with contract documents.
• Evaluates change-order requests and reports status.
• Reviews submittals and as-built drawings for accuracy and contract alignment.
• Maintains project schedule and assists PM in updates.
