Job summary

Kitchell seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the Bay Area team in South San Francisco, overseeing PM/CM services as owner’s representative on DSA K-12 education programs.

The role requires 12+ years in vertical construction with 5+ years in PM/CM, and California DSA experience. On-site work in the greater South San Francisco area with a strong emphasis on safety, leadership, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 12+ years of vertical construction experience with at least 5+ years as Project/Construction Manager.
• Experience in California public education market sector under DSA regulatory oversight is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM/CM consultant services as owner’s representative for K-12 education projects in CA.
• Ensure operations follow PM procedures and policies.
• Ensure delivery and compliance with contractual requirements.
• Develop RFQs/RFPs and manage procurement phases.
• Oversee contracts, drawings, estimates, and specs for project requirements.
• Coordinate and monitor activities of contractors, engineers, architects and related parties.
• Manage project controls, cost, schedule, and performance reporting.
• Identify and mitigate project risks in consultation with regional leadership.
• Participate in internal teams focusing on continuous improvement.
• Enforce workplace health and safety policies and practices.
