Job summary

Kitchell seeks an experienced Project Manager II to join our Bay Area region in Santa Clara, CA, to lead PM/CM services as an Owner’s Representative for essential services projects. This role emphasizes client-facing responsibilities and design-build delivery within a leading building company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in vertical construction (public sector strongly preferred).
• 5+ years as a Project Manager.
• Experience with Civic/Municipal/Justice/Education market sectors.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Construction Manager with direct client-facing responsibilities.
• Coordinate with city departments to provide PM/CM services.
• Ensure compliance to project requirements through contracts, drawings, estimates, and specs.
• Lead project meetings and maintain documentation and tracking.
• Maintain client satisfaction and manage issue resolution for repeat business.
• Facilitate effective communication within the program and with external stakeholders.
• Ensure safety, performance, and compliance of contractors and design professionals.
• Oversee project logistics, safety, and manpower utilization.
• Monitor design/status reports and report findings and recommendations.
• Coordinate activities of CM staff, contractors, engineers, architects, and related entities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
