Innova Solutions is seeking a Certification Engineer in Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on developing certification plans, compliance checklists, and conformity inspection plans for aircraft modifications.

You will prepare substantiation reports and test plans for flammability and cabin safety, and draft presentation materials for FAA reviews. Collaboration with suppliers and stakeholders is essential to ensure airworthiness compliance.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of work experience in an engineering role.
• Engineering internships and Co-op assignments may count toward experience.
• Working knowledge of FAR regulations and aircraft certification.
• Experience preparing and reviewing certification documents e.g. PSCP, test plans.

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Certification Engineer.

Position type: Full-time - Contract Duration: 12 Months Location: Atlanta, GA

Responsibilities

• Develop certification plans, compliance checklists, conformity inspection plans
• Develop substantiation reports and test plans / reports for flammability and cabin safety.
• Draft certification presentations for all meetings and manage small STC / PMA projects for certification requirements including data deliverables from suppliers, and coordinating responses to inquiries, significant certification issues and airworthiness concerns.
• Identify applicable airworthiness requirements for proposed major design changes.
• Support the relationship with FAA regulatory agencies via project presentations.
• Interface with customers, suppliers and other project stakeholders pertaining to certification of modification projects.

Ideal Candidate

• 4 to 7 years of work experience in an engineering role.
• Engineering internships and Co-op assignments may be applied to experience requirements.
• Working knowledge of FAR regulations and aircraft certification
• Experience preparing and reviewing certification documents e.g. PSCP, test plans etc.
• Experience working with FAA DER's & DAR's

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• B.S. in aerospace or mechanical engineering or related scientific field.
• Knowledge of aircraft interiors.
• Experience as a certification engineer, design engineer, or substantiation engineer.

Pay Range

Pay Range*: $55 - $61/hr. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
