Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 5 years as a Business Systems Analyst with 3 years hands-on SharePoint experience.
• Experience leading requirements-gathering sessions and managing complex SharePoint projects.
• Experience with PowerShell and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate/Power Apps).

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements with stakeholders; translate into technical specs.
• Develop, implement, and enforce SharePoint governance policies and standards.
• Ensure data security policies and access controls in SharePoint.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services (Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Power Platform).
• Create and maintain business process flows, functional specs, training materials, and governance plans.
• Analyze existing SharePoint sites for usage, access controls, gaps, and improvements.
• Lead or participate in SharePoint feature implementations and migrations.
• Design scalable, user-friendly SharePoint sites, libraries, workflows, and web parts.

Overview

DAVTEQ Inc. is hiring a Senior Business Systems Analyst — SharePoint Specialist to support a major capital transit program, working onsite with the client’s Technology team (BSVII Technology). This is hands-on, high-visibility work across a 113-site SharePoint environment on one of the largest active transit programs in the region.

Position Summary

Leads and performs the analysis, design, implementation, management, and support of business solutions leveraging Microsoft SharePoint and related technologies, with a strong focus on workflow automation. Serves as a key liaison between business units and IT, ensuring technology solutions align with strategic objectives, streamline business processes, and enhance cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders; translate them into clear technical and functional specifications
• Develop, implement, and enforce SharePoint governance policies and standards
• Ensure compliance with data security policies and best practices for data management, sharing, and access controls in SharePoint
• Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Power Platform
• Create and maintain business process flows, functional specifications, training materials, and governance plans
• Analyze existing SharePoint sites — usage patterns, access controls, gaps — and recommend SharePoint-based solutions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
• 5 years as a Business Systems Analyst (or similar), including 3 years hands-on SharePoint
• Proven experience leading requirements-gathering sessions and managing complex SharePoint-based projects
• Experience designing/implementing business workflows using SharePoint Designer, Power Automate, or other automation tools
• Experience with PowerShell
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate and Power Apps)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate cross-functionally
• Ability to work onsite at least 3 days/week in San Jose, CA

Highly Desirable

• SharePoint migration experience
• Power BI report development/maintenance
• Experience with Aconex, Unifier, Primavera P6, or helpdesk ticketing systems
