The Role:

  • Pay Range: $65,000 – $70,000 annually, plus bonus

Summary / Primary Role:

The position of Billing Lead will have primary responsibility for overseeing the accurate and timely processing of customer invoices. This role involves ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations, troubleshooting billing issues, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence. The position requires coordinating and guiding team members.

What You’ll Do:
  • Billing Operations:
    • Oversee the processing of customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Verify the accuracy of billing information and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Documentation:
    • Ensure all billing documents are correctly prepared and filed.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure all billing activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, such as logistics and finance, to address and resolve complex billing problems.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Develop and implement best practices for billing processes.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Team Coordination:
    • Lead and coordinate the billing team to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Customer Service:
    • Assist customers and vendors with billing inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
    • Address and resolve billing-related questions and concerns promptly.
  • Training and Development:
    • Assist in training team members on billing processes and systems.
  • All other duties and projects assigned.
What You Bring:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in billing, preferably in the warehouse or logistics industry.
  • Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze billing data and identify discrepancies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members, customers, and other departments.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of billing operations.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to address and resolve customer billing issues promptly and professionally.
  • Logistics knowledge is a plus.
Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $65,000 to $70,000 annually + Bonus Plan

The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets.
