Job summary

Truist is seeking a Cloud Governance & Operations professional in the United States. You will partner with business and technology teams to drive cloud onboarding, governance, operational readiness, and continuous improvement across AWS and Azure environments.

You will analyze data, document requirements, and develop data-driven recommendations to improve processes, reduce risk, and ensure secure, compliant cloud adoption. Collaboration across IT, security, and risk teams is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years in technology operations.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud tech, security, compliance, and risk.
  • Experience with technology governance.

Responsibilities

  • Executes processes to support delivery, stability, and improvement of technology services.
  • Monitors performance and identifies issues, recommending workflow/tool enhancements.

Supports the adoption, governance, and enablement of enterprise cloud services by partnering with business and technology teams to drive cloud onboarding, governance processes, operational readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives. Utilizes analytical, technical, and process management skills to evaluate risks, identify dependencies, gather and document requirements, and improve processes that support secure and compliant cloud adoption. Works independently to analyze business and operational challenges, develop data-driven recommendations, and collaborate with cloud engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, risk, and application teams to deliver scalable solutions and enhance the cloud operating model across AWS and Azure environments.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Executes processes to supports the delivery, stability, and continuous improvement of technology services by monitoring operational performance, identifying issues, and recommending enhancements to processes, tools, and workflows.
  • Demonstrates initiative by analyzing data, reports, and system outputs to assess the health, effectiveness, and lifecycle status of assigned technology components, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis, evaluate workflow dependencies, and suggest enhancements to reduce risk, improve efficiency, or strengthen the reliability of technology services.
  • Identifies recurring operational issues and performs root-cause analysis, develops solution recommendations, and proposes design‑level improvements to tools, runbooks, and workflows.
  • Evaluates operational trends, risks, and performance data and provides recommendations that influence business operations, resource planning, and technology strategy.
  • Continuously identifies opportunities for automation, tooling improvements, and process refinement that drive scalability, reduce manual effort, strengthen compliance, and enhance overall service reliability.
  • Assesses lifecycle status, utilization patterns, and operational impacts of assigned technology assets or services, recommending optimization strategies, control improvements, or adjustments to ensure accurate management and cost‑effective operations.
  • Supports interactions with vendors, partners, and adjacent teams, validating changes, and confirming that proposed solutions align with established operational and architectural expectations for the assigned area.
  • Follows and helps refine incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures for the assigned domain, participating in technical investigation and resolution activities and capturing learnings for future improvements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree Information Technology, Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in technology operations.
  • Developing understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, security, compliance, and risk management.
  • Experience with technology governance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in product analysis, business analysis, technology operations, cloud governance, or related technology roles.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into actionable solutions and process improvements.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and public cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure.
  • Familiarity with cloud governance, risk management, operational readiness, compliance, and technology control processes.
  • Experience supporting technology products, operational processes, or enterprise transformation initiatives through the full lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement using data-driven insights.
  • Experience developing dashboards, metrics, reports, and executive-level presentations to support decision-making and program oversight.
  • Ability to analyze complex business and technology processes and recommend scalable solutions that improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and partnering with product managers, engineers, architects, cybersecurity, risk, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with productivity and analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence, Visio, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting cloud adoption, onboarding, modernization, governance, or enablement initiatives in a large enterprise environment preferred.
