Job summary

Truist is seeking a technology operations professional to optimize systems-level solutions and governance. The role emphasizes production stability, risk assessment, and cross-functional collaboration to improve operational processes.

You will be onsite five days a week at one of the posted locations, with a focus on automating and refining tools, runbooks, and workflows to enhance service reliability and efficiency. Sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years in technology operations.
• Developing understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud, security, and risk.
• Experience with technology governance.

Responsibilities

• Executes processes to support delivery, stability, and continuous improvement of technology services by monitoring performance and enhancing workflows.
• Analyzes data, reports, and system outputs to assess health and lifecycle status of technology components; escalates issues.
• Conducts root-cause analysis, evaluates workflow dependencies, and suggests design improvements to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
• Identifies recurring operational issues, develops solution recommendations, and proposes runbook/workflow enhancements.
• Evaluates operational trends and risks, providing recommendations for business operations, resource planning, and technology strategy.
• Continuously identifies opportunities for automation, tooling improvements, and process refinement to drive scalability and reliability.

Implements and optimizes technology operations and systems‑level solutions while contributing to the planning, governance, and improvement of operational processes. Utilizes technical and analytical expertise to maintain production stability, ensure asset accuracy, evaluate operational risks, and improve processes that support business operations. Works independently to analyze issues and recommend solutions while collaborating with cross‑functional teams and/or vendors.

Will be onsite (5 days per week) at either of the posted locations. Job is not available for sponsorship.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Executes processes to supports the delivery, stability, and continuous improvement of technology services by monitoring operational performance, identifying issues, and recommending enhancements to processes, tools, and workflows.
• Demonstrates initiative by analyzing data, reports, and system outputs to assess the health, effectiveness, and lifecycle status of assigned technology components, escalating issues when necessary.
• Conduct root-cause analysis, evaluate workflow dependencies, and suggest enhancements to reduce risk, improve efficiency, or strengthen the reliability of technology services.
• Identifies recurring operational issues and performs root-cause analysis, develops solution recommendations, and proposes design‑level improvements to tools, runbooks, and workflows.
• Evaluates operational trends, risks, and performance data and provides recommendations that influence business operations, resource planning, and technology strategy.
• Continuously identifies opportunities for automation, tooling improvements, and process refinement that drive scalability, reduce manual effort, strengthen compliance, and enhance overall service reliability.
• Assesses lifecycle status, utilization patterns, and operational impacts of assigned technology assets or services, recommending optimization strategies, control improvements, or adjustments to ensure accurate management and cost‑effective operations.
• Supports interactions with vendors, partners, and adjacent teams, validating changes, and confirming that proposed solutions align with established operational and architectural expectations for the assigned area.
• Follows and helps refine incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures for the assigned domain, participating in technical investigation and resolution activities and capturing learnings for future improvements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree Information Technology, Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in technology operations.
• Developing understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, security, compliance, and risk management.
• Experience with technology governance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CCIE, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent.
• Experience with multi‑cloud environments, automation frameworks, and infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of ITIL, DevOps, Agile methodologies, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Splunk, Dynatrace, MuleSoft support, CI/CD Pipeline Support, GitLab, Microsoft SQL Server (SQL), Database Performance Analysis and SQL Query Troubleshooting
