Job Title: Sr. Assistant Property Manager, Multifamily

Job Description Summary: The Sr. Assistant Property Manager maintains our communities to a market-ready standard, ensuring high-quality service at all times. They build and motivate high-performing teams to maximize property performance.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of our community in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assist the Property Manager with operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits.
  • Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction, renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
  • Complete lease and renewal paperwork according to company standards.
  • Track and evaluate advertising and client traffic.
  • Support the team by embodying Cushman & Wakefield's mission to be the best national management company.
  • Assist the Property Manager with daily operations of the onsite team, ensuring policy compliance.
  • Maintain effective staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching.
  • Keep residents' files in accordance with standards.
  • Foster a positive living environment through prompt conflict resolution and follow-up.
  • Manage the community budget and finances.
  • Work with leasing staff to meet leasing and marketing goals.

Competencies:

  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation.
  • Office, bookkeeping, and sales skills, with excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to set goals and improve staff performance.
  • Team management capabilities.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Vocational training required.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of Property Management experience.
  • At least 1 year of Management experience.

Work Environment: Professional office setting with travel between properties in varying weather conditions.

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, ascend/descend stairs, and lift objects up to 25 pounds. Travel up to 15% may be required.
