Job summary

Northern Trust in the United States is seeking an experienced Loan Operations professional to support mortgage and commercial loan transactions. The role emphasizes accuracy, client service, and aligning processes with internal controls.

You'll work within a collaborative team, contribute to process improvements, and mentor junior staff while applying knowledge of banking procedures and custody services terminology.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process transactions involving booking and servicing mortgage loans and commercial loans for clients.
• Provide input to process changes for greater operational efficiency.
• Identify, document and disseminate new procedures and controls for the Loan Ops team.
• Assist in preparation of documentation required for audits within the Loan Ops team.
• Carry out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact.
• Serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to junior employees.
• Be more technically sound in area of expertise and have broader knowledge of other areas.
• Deliver work product with minimal revisions.
• Facilitate discussions and help reach decisions.

Major Duties

1. Responsible for processing transactions involving booking and servicing mortgage loans, commercial loans for clients

Experience:

Salary Range:

$45,125 - 67,735 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
