Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a detail‑oriented professional to provide operations support and client service for its global brokerage business. The role emphasizes day‑to‑day trade processing, book‑out, allocation, settlement and reconciliation, with a focus on accuracy and adherence to guidelines.

Ideal candidates will have a college degree and prior financial operations experience, along with FINRA license requirements or the ability to obtain them.

Qualifications

  • A College or University degree and/or relevant work experience is required.
  • Prior industry experience, preferably in a financial operations role is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Operations support and client service for the global brokerage business. Focuses on the day-to-day processing of trades from the point of book-out and allocation, through to settlement and reconciliation of accounts, and all other brokerage operations functions.
  • Continues to build knowledge of the company, processes and clients. Performs a range of assignments related to job discipline. Uses prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. Carries out activities with moderate financial, client and/or internal business impact.
  • Writes and maintains high quality procedure documentation
  • Assists in training new starters within the team

Summary

Salary Range

$67,500 - 111,500 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
