• Experience with NetSuite and journal entries in the system.
• Strong knowledge of fixed assets, prepaid accounts, and general ledger operations.
• Ability to manage accounts payable, perform reconciliations, and handle month-end close activities.
• Experience with multiple accounting systems (Zip invoice review, Floqast, Bill.com) preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication with internal stakeholders and team members.

Sr. Accountant

Overview:

Join a dynamic team as a Sr. Accountant for a temporary, mid-January coverage role supporting critical accounting functions in a fully remote environment. This key position ensures accurate financial management and system proficiency, playing a vital role in maintaining seamless operations during a maternity leave period. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating strong system skills and a proactive approach to month-end close processes.

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience with NetSuite and proficiency in uploading journal entries and executing accounting tasks within the system


• Strong knowledge of fixed assets, prepaid accounts, and general ledger operations


• Ability to manage accounts payable, perform reconciliations, and handle month-end close activities


• Skilled in using multiple accounting systems, including Zip invoice review, Floqast, and bill.com (preferred)


• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail


• Effective communication with internal stakeholders and team members

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with tax payments, T&E processing, and bank reconciliations


• Familiarity with fixed assets management, amortization, and usage-based prepaid invoices


• General understanding of financial reporting, audits, and process improvement opportunities

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred


• At least 3 years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally within a fast-growing or complex business environment

Other Requirements:

• This role is 100% remote; candidates can work from any time zone


• Availability until mid-January to cover maternity leave


• Must demonstrate system-savvy skills and the ability to learn new tools efficiently
