Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking skilled inspectors to perform routine inspections, testing, service and maintenance on life safety sprinkler product lines in Albuquerque, NM. The role requires hands-on work, lifting up to 70 lbs, and occasional on-call rotations.

You will document findings, follow safety procedures, and coordinate with foremen on installations. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in sprinkler systems, reads blueprints, and holds a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of documented experience in sprinkler systems.
• Able to obtain and retain licenses required by codes.
• Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, and foam systems.
• Experience in reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs, schematics and manuals.
• Experience with hand tools and multimeter usage.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing and maintenance of life safety sprinkler systems.
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Assist foreman in installation of sprinkler systems and related components.
• Follow a structured inspection schedule and document deficiencies.
• Complete service inspections with proper coding using devices like laptops or smartphones.
• Work in various positions including ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment.
• Maintain safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service and reliable scheduling.
