Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks an apprentice to assist with installing sprinkler systems under the supervision of foremen. You will follow safety policies, maintain documentation, and participate in Grinnell's Apprenticeship Program while performing physical labor and handling equipment up to 70 lbs.

English communication is required. Applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent, be at least 18, and possess a valid driver's license with reliable transportation to job sites and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be enrolled in Grinnell's Apprenticeship Program.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist foreman in the installation of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
• Follow all safety policies.
• Maintain proper documentation for work performed.
• Be enrolled in Grinnell's approved Apprenticeship Program, maintaining all requirements of the Apprenticeship Standards.
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs and perform physical labor.
• Perform work in ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and quick learning ability.
