Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking apprentices to learn and assist in installing fire protection piping, valves, and accessories for commercial and industrial settings. The role requires a High School Diploma, ability to lift heavy equipment, and reliable transportation to job sites and training locations.

You will work with foremen, follow safety policies, and participate in the Apprenticeship Program while developing hands-on skills in wet/dry/pre-action/deluge sprinkler systems.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to jobsite and training locations.
• Ability to work well with others and perform physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Learn/assist in the installation of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
• Assist foreman in the installation of sprinkler piping and accessories.
• Maintain proper documentation for work performed.
• Carry/move equipment and tools up to 70 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and work in varied positions (ladder, scaffolding, high lift).
