Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled field service Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, servicing and maintenance on life safety product lines including sprinkler systems. Ideal candidates will read blueprints, operate hand tools and multi-meters, and lift up to 70 lbs while following safety procedures.

The role requires flexibility for on-call nights and weekends and a strong customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

1+ years of documented experience in sprinkler systems.
Able to obtain and retain licenses required by codes.
Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, and foam systems.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs.
Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
Capable of carrying/moving equipment up to 50-70 lbs.
Able to work in ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call, nights and weekends.
Demonstrate strong customer service.
Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections, testing, servicing and maintenance on life safety product lines.
Document deficiencies and complete service acknowledgements with proper coding.
Follow a structured inspection schedule and complete inspections on time.
Carry/move equipment and tools up to 70 lbs; perform physical labor as needed.
Assist foreman in installation of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
Work in challenging positions, including ladders and high lift equipment, and in ducts or crawl spaces.
