Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field service technician to perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, and maintenance of life safety systems in accordance with company standards. You will work with low voltage wiring and associated devices, complete service acknowledgments, and maintain an organized inspection schedule using laptops or paper records.

The role requires 2+ years in sprinkler systems, relevant licenses/certifications, and strong troubleshooting abilities.

Qualifications

2+ years documented experience in sprinkler systems.
Texas Department of Insurance requires RME-I license or NICET II.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs, schematics and manuals.
Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems.
Able to pass pre-employment background and drug test.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing and preventative maintenance of life safety product lines.
Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for operation of low voltage equipment.
Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding via laptop or hard copy.
Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule.
Input, retrieve and archive inspection documentation program via laptop.
Make minor repairs and programming changes under supervision.
Complete assigned inspections on time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
