Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field technician to perform inspections, testing, servicing and maintenance of life safety sprinkler systems. You will work with low voltage wiring and devices, complete service acknowledgements, and follow a strict inspection schedule.

The role requires NICET II or state licensing, ability to read blueprints and docs, hands-on tool use, and willingness to travel. On-site work and a competitive benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years documented experience in sprinkler systems.
• NICET Level II or State license.
• Able to obtain and retain licenses required by codes.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs, schematics.
• Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
• Experience with wet/dry/pre-action/deluge/foam systems.
• Able to pass pre-employment background and drug test.
• Willing to travel out of town.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing and preventative maintenance of life safety product lines.
• Work with low voltage wiring and devices for operation of low voltage equipment.
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding via laptops or hard copy.
• Maintain a structured inspection schedule and documentation.
• Make minor repairs and programming changes under supervision.
• Complete assigned inspections on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
